90\120Photo, video, painting
Curator: Oleksander Druganov, Viktor Pryduvalov, Oksana Barshynova
National Art Museum of Ukraine Within the International Museum Day Oleksander Druganov and Viktor Pryduvalov Photo, video, painting Every spring at the European Night of Museums, the National Art Museum of Ukraine opens an exhibition, representing Ukrainian contemporary media art. The Druganov/Pryduvalov’s project changes the space of the museum through media installation, which combines static and moving visual and sound images. The conception of the project is based upon the idea of the unity of oppositions, such as black/white, knowledge/sense, horizontal/vertical, empty/full, acting/non-acting, and silence/sound. Authors’ experience in theatre design and movie directing make the project spectacular and full of meanings. Critics mention unpredictability as the main authors’ feature, and it is unpredictability that constitute the principal intrigue of the “90/120” project. |
